Holidays? Weight loss doesn’t stop

We all know that: holidays ain’t the right time to pay attention to the diet. At least for me, that I specifically chose my holiday destinations based on the local food offer.

Hey, I’m Italian, I’m spoiled ok?

Holiday means one simple thing for me: no stress. Wherever I go, whatever I do, I must forget all those little things that form my daily routine: wake up, hurry up, run to work, focus while you think to all the other thousand things to do, grocery, laundry, cleaning, cooking, and, meanwhile, try to squeeze in a workout.

When on holiday I want (need) to relax, and this also mean paying less attention to the diet. At least, I compensate with hours and hours of walking…

This holiday is a bit different: I decided to go on a solo trip, five days surrounded by nothing but nature. Today I spent hours cycling around the island, among forests, parks and beaches. I am exhausted, but happy: finally living the dream of a fitness holiday, something that no one ever wanted to do.

I am smoking less, eating healthy also on holiday. It is a common pattern for me to pay less attention to what I eat and drink, if I am on holiday with somebody else (which generally means fast food and beer every day). I reconnected with my physical and mental self and this is exactly what I needed.

And you, how do you deal with messy holiday eating?

Below, a photo of a happy me at the beach, after 24 Km bike journey around the island!
