I knew it was going to be a long and tough journey, but honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to be so hard right at the beginning.
I’m just that kind of person: I start a thousand things, and I finish none. I know that, and I made peace with myself. Finishing something that I start is incredibly hard for me, for any aspect of my life. I lack consistency in everything that I do, that is not related to education or career.
Well, that’s something.
I am smoking like crazy as before, haven’t been in the gym in over two weeks, and I’m watching in a nostalgic way my photos before gaining a lot of weight. It was so much easier, back then; sure, I had the metabolism of a 20 year old, but it can’t be the only success factor…
This is when I realised that I need help. I can’t do it on my own, alone. Let’s be honest: hitting the gym three, four times a week can be a deterrent for your social life, for some reason all the best events, social occasions and stuff clash with your perfectly planned gym schedule, every single time. Having a gym buddy would totally help, but none of the people I know is into weightlifting, or living nearby so we could find a suitable gym.
Plus, agreeing with a common schedule, in this country…. forget it!
So, it’s me, myself and Giulia (still me), as always. I’m not complaining, as working out for me means shutting down the world, loud music right in my ears, and be totally focused. Nevertheless, the solitude aspect of working out is one of the many factors pushing me away. It’s not like burning those couple of extra Christmas holidays kgs; I need to start a revolution.
This is why I decided to ask for help to a person that already supported me with a massive body transformation a few years ago, my previous gym trainer. I haven’t talked with him in years, but he was so pleasantly surprised to receive my text. He has a very well structured remote personal training program, and is already working on my personal workout plan.
It feels so refreshing to have guidance, to know that I am following a custom made program and every workout is going to bring me closer to my result; even though it is remote personal training, I feel I am not alone in this journey.
Stay tuned for more!
